But Elisa Babysitting is so much more—and behind this thriving, high-standard childcare service is me, Elisa: a mother, wife, educator, and businesswoman with a passion for creating safe, joyful spaces for children and stress-free moments for parents.
My Journey: 17 Years in Ireland, a Lifetime in Childcare
Originally from Spain, I moved to Ireland more than 17 years ago, and it quickly became my second home. Here, I built my life, my family, and my career. I’ve always had a deep passion for working with children, which led me to gain qualifications in early childhood education, including Montessori and Waldorf approaches. This passion—and my experience raising my own two children—inspired me to create Elisa Babysitting, a childcare service that goes far beyond traditional babysitting.
Behind the Scenes: What It Takes to Run Elisa Babysitting
Running a business like Elisa Babysitting is a 24/7 job. It’s not just about caring for children; it’s about managing every detail that happens behind the scenes to deliver high-quality, reliable, and loving childcare.
Here’s what my day-to-day looks like:
Managing a Team of Babysitters:
I currently oversee more than 15 professional babysitters, each carefully selected, trained, and mentored by me to reflect our core values of warmth, professionalism, and personalized care. I organize schedules, manage bookings, and match babysitters with families to ensure the best fit for each child.
Choosing and Delivering Materials:
For every wedding, hotel stay, or event, we bring age-appropriate, carefully selected materials to entertain and engage the children. From creative arts and crafts to soft toys and board games, I personally choose materials designed to suit different ages, interests, and preferences. When we have multiple bookings at the same time, I work with helpers and drivers to ensure all materials are delivered to the right location on time.
Bilingual Childcare for Hotels, Weddings, and Events:
Our services include bilingual babysitting for children aged 0-15 at luxury hotels, elegant weddings, and family events. Whether we’re entertaining 16 kids at a wedding venue or caring for little ones during a couple’s weekend getaway, our goal is always to create a safe, fun, and happy environment for children—and peace of mind for their parents.
Handling Emails, Invoices, and Social Media:
Behind every email, invoice, and social media post, it’s me. I personally handle the administrative side of the business to ensure that every detail runs smoothly, from responding to inquiries to managing accounts.
Developing New Projects in Spain
In addition to the business in Ireland, I’m excited to expand Elisa Babysitting to Spain, where we’re offering the same high-quality childcare for hotels, weddings, and events, on a smaller scale but with the same attention to detail and personal touch.
Homeschool- child minding services full time
As a mother, I understand the challenges and joys of parenting. I run a Montessori homeschool program for children in Castleknock are from newborn up to 6 years old, Gabriela is helping me full time in my childminidng services.
